KVK has awarded almost 100 Bachelor degree diplomas to General Practice Nurses!


Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences (KVK) has been preparing nurses for a century and last week 100 professionals who have been awarded professional bachelor’s diplomas launched into the labour market.

Along with Lithuanians, a group of international students also completed General Practice Nursing studies in English language. The graduates are from Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe. „It was a unique and memorable ceremony for me. A big thanks to everyone who helped to make this day special“, – said Feruzbek Rakhimov, one of the international students.

“I congratulate the graduates who have chosen such a meaningful and especially important profession for every person. I hope that you will follow to the values ​​established in Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences throughout your career path, apply the acquired knowledge and skills meaningfully and responsibly, and help thousands of patients,”said Gražina Markvaldienė, Director of Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences.

According to the Government’s Strategic Analysis Centre (STRATA), Lithuania has been experiencing a significant lack of nurses for several years in a row. We hope that the graduates will successfully fill the missing and even more significant jobs in the context of the pandemic.

The graduates of KVK are highly valued by employers. According to a survey of employers conducted in 2021, which was attended by almost 150 employers, the knowledge and skills of the graduates of KVK Health Sciences Faculty met as many as 99.1 percent of the needs of organizations.

International students are satisfied with their studying experience in Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences. Feruzbek Rakhimov comments, “I recommend KVK. It is a great opportunity to build your future in the EU, to travel, to meet new people and cultures. I have met many people that helped me to broaden my horizons”. In addition, graduate Christian Ogwu adds, “The faculty and administration staff are very friendly and helpful. Adapting to a new culture can be difficult, but they are always ready to give advice and guide you”.

Health Sciences Faculty offers four study programmes in English: General Practice Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Physiotherapy and Social Work. We invite you to join one of these programmes and acquire KVK professional bachelor’s diploma. The admission is open until 1st June.
