Information for WAEC/NECO holders

Important notes before applying at KVK

If you have WAEC/NECO and want to make application for studies at KVK, then you need to:

  • submit notarized good quality, colorful scan copy of both sides of your WAEC/NECO. In case we’ll have some questions regarding verification of your certificate, you might be asked to send us original document via post.
  • submit Scratch Card serial number and pin code for us to be able to check your examination results online. Your results have to be available at www.waecdirect.org or www.mynecoexams.com/results/. Without this, academic recognition of your WAEC/NECO will not be processed.

Basic WAEC/NECO requirements for admission:

  • at least 5 successfully passed subjects, including Mathematics and English,
  • minimum score C6. Subjects with lower scores will not be taken into consideration.

We would like to inform that generally WAEC/NECO is comparable to a secondary qualification awarded in Lithuania for the purpose of further study only in combination with the following additional requirement: minimum an additional year of completed formal post-secondary tertiary education. It means that for application you also need to submit copies of university Diploma and its transcript of records or certificate about study period and transcript of records of passed semesters, if studies are not yet finished. If you have not studied anywhere after secondary education, then unfortunately admission will not be able at our institution.
Foundation courses are accepted as additional education only if taken from any of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions.

Note – Notification of Results is not accepted if by the time of application at KVK, Diploma was issued.

Please be aware that your personal data in WAEC/NECO needs to match the data in your passport. Affidavit is not accepted if data of birth does not match.
